Skip Joslin is a principal at 50 to 1 and manages comprehensive lobbying campaigns and issue advocacy strategies for corporate and trade association clients who face policy or regulatory challenges at the state and local level.

Skip has over 20 years of extensive managerial experience. He has guided some of the most high-profile legislative and regulatory public policy initiatives in the country involving lobbying and public affairs campaigns, grassroots/grasstops outreach, field operations, stakeholder outreach, coalition building, media relations, social and digital advocacy, and government relations. Skip specializes in overseeing a network of political consultants – one of the most sophisticated and deepest networks within the government affairs industry.

Prior to joining the firm, Skip was a Managing Director at DCI Group where he oversaw the nationwide Field Division of campaign consultants, lobbyists, public relations and political experts across the country. Skip coordinated Republican outreach for former Congressman Randy Tate at Voter.com and served as staff to U.S. Senator Phil Gramm in Washington, D.C.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and an Executive Master’s in Leadership from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Once an avid runner,

Skip completed seven marathons, albeit slowly. These days, Skip spends his time chasing down three kids with his wife at his home in Leesburg, VA and with his trusty Wheaten terrier, always by his side.  When he can escape, Skip might be found hiking, hunting or enjoying seeing his favorite musicians at venues across the country. But most likely Red Rocks…his favorite place to get away to.
